How Kamala Harris could capitalize on the DNC, analysts suggest

Michael Tesler of the University of California Irvine told Newsweek … that Harris "should be touting" the Biden administration's economic policies and performance throughout her party's convention. "It's important to keep that momentum going by hammering home the message that the U.S. has had the strongest post-pandemic growth and lowest inflation of all the G7 countries," said Tesler, who teaches for UC Irvine's political science department. "The administration's economic policies remain broadly popular, too, and public opinion on government spending has not shifted to the right the way it usually does under Democratic presidents."
