Former US president Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris appear to be at odds over when and where their first head-to-head debate should take place. It comes as Harris's campaign has accused the Republican nominee of trying to back out of a presidential debate after proposing a new date and a new network to air it on. “They each need a debate – or maybe more than one. They each think they’re slightly better than their opponent. So, they’ll come up with some compromise, perhaps doing both ABC and Fox News,” says Louis DeSipio, UC Irvine professor of political science.
