The School of Social Sciences is pleased to announce the winners of the 2023-24 Dean’s Awards for Outstanding Teaching:

• Danielle Thomsen – Political Science, School of Social Sciences Dr. Joseph L. White Award for Outstanding Mentorship
• Isabel Almeida – Chicano/Latino Studies, Dean’s Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching
• Erin Lockwood – Political Science, Dean’s Award for Outstanding Teaching Innovation

Faculty were nominated for one of three awards to recognize outstanding teaching in the School of Social Sciences. Additionally, the awards recognize a commitment to inclusive excellence and dedication to higher education through the use of innovative methods and mentorship. The selection was done by the school’s Executive Committee. The recipients each receive a $2,000 research stipend.
