Are Black and Brown voters really fleeing Biden? It’s complicated.

Political scientists John Sides and Michael Tesler [UCI political science professor] write that Biden’s current approval rating is consistent with a 3-point loss in the national popular vote. Biden’s economic success — wages in the middle- and low-end of income distribution are up along with employment — are balanced against rising costs of housing and staples, especially food.
