Roxanne Varzi [UCI professor, anthropology] is a creative anthropologist, making films and now a mystery novel to share cultural differences and experiences. In “Death in a Nutshell,” the main protagonist is a whip-smart anthropology graduate student who is also dyslexic with ADHD. She pieces together a murder mystery in the Rockies in a story that also includes the brilliant dyslexic paleontologist Jack Horner.
