Jessica Cañas-Castañeda

On May 30, UCI social sciences recognized staff who hit UC career milestones this year with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of service. Jessica Cañas-Castañeda, department administrator and manager of the school’s global and international studies, sociology, Chicano/Latino studies, and social policy and public service cluster, was also recognized as the 2023 recipient of the David L. Leinen Outstanding Staff Award. The honor annually recognizes social sciences staff for fostering excellence, innovation and community within the school and across campus.
