- Honor recognizes logic and philosophy of science grad student for impressive research work
Aydin Mohseni, logic & philosophy of science graduate student, has been named a recipient of the School of Social Sciences Outstanding Scholar award. The honor recognizes Mohseni for impressive research work in game and decision theory and philosophy of science.
Before pursuing a Ph.D., he earned a bachelor of fine arts in interactive media at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He worked for several years in industry, and completed a master’s degree in logic, computation and methodology at Carnegie Mellon University. His nominators note his steady work ethic and ability to direct his own studies, and, as a result, his “remarkable progress in the program.” Due to his ability to quickly pick up new subject matters, and because of his intellectual talents, he has co-authored with no fewer than six LPS faculty members – a feat unmatched by his peers both past and present. The results are two papers in top philosophy journals, three more papers under review, and eight more in progress.
Congrats, Aydin!
