“I think this is a sign of the times, where the DPP [Democratic Progressive Party]
has finally realized that the young activists that were once a thorn in their side
are now an asset to them,” said Lev Nachman, a visiting scholar at National Taiwan
University and a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of California,
Irvine. … “I think young people want to see themselves in politics.”
