Women at Google miss out on thousands of dollars as a result of pay discrimination, lawsuit alleges

Women at Google make an average of $2,000 less per year than men on paper, but may
be losing out on even more, David Neumark, a University of California, Irvine distinguished
professor of economics, found in a study cited in the lawsuit. His calculations showed
women at Google may be losing out on $17,000 a year because of discriminatory job
classifications.
