Ken Small, an economics professor at the University of California at Irvine, states, “My advice is the same as everyone's: avoid hard accelerations and very fast driving, substitute public transit or other modes where possible, carpool if feasible. Remember that walking and bicycling are good for your health as well! … If I had to bet, I'd say there would be 50% penetration of fully automated vehicles by 2050.”
