- Competitive campus program will give recipients advanced training in pedagogy, educational development, and job market preparation
The School of Social Sciences is pleased to have among its graduate students seven of UCI’s 23 Pedagogical Fellows for 2019.
“Most commonly known for their facilitation of the TA Professional Development Program, Fellows are competitively selected based on teaching evaluations, scholarship, service, letters of recommendation, and demonstrated interest in pedagogy,” Michael Dennin, UCI Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, said in a March announcement. Throughout the year, the cohort of fellows will be trained in advanced pedagogy in higher education, educational development, and academic job market preparation. They will serve as teaching ambassadors to their departments and mentors to teaching assistants.
