BMW’s mini, beloved by China’s women, targets male driver

Almost 80 per cent of Mini owners in China are women, the highest level among any
car brand… China has 17 million college-educated women between 25 and 34 years of
age, of whom at least 4.5 million are unmarried, according to Wang Feng, a sociology
professor who teaches at Shanghai’s Fudan University and the University of California,
Irvine. “It’s a very powerful consumer group and getting larger,” Wang said.
