- Daniel Wehrenfennig, Olive Tree Initiative director and political science graduate alumnus, is featured in the Chronicle of Philanthropy January 17, 2013
From the Chronicle of Philanthropy:
Daniel Wehrenfennig takes students from opposing sides of complex, deeply entrenched
international conflicts - such as between Israel and Palestine or Turkey and Armenia
- and helps them understand each other. As the co-founder and executive director of
the Olive Tree Initiative, he brings student and community groups to international
conflict zones to see all sides of an issue and build understanding. Those visits,
though, are only part of the experience for students.
