Maritza Y. Duran is a mental health professional with a diverse background. She grew up in a single parent Mexican household of migrant farm workers who settled in McFarland, California. Maritza is the first in her family to attend college and earned a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2022. She currently works as a Staff Psychologist at the VA in Long Beach, California, where she focuses on bilingual and bi cultural services for Spanish-speaking patients. 

This workshop is an invitation to learn about Duran's pursuit of rewarding career pathways and the generative qualities of pursuing a diversity of interdisciplinary opportunities as an important step towards achieving goals.
