 2:55 - 3:55 p.m. | Day to Day DEI: What to Do and Where to Go for Help
UCI expects and values faculty contributions to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). This workshop provides practical tips on how faculty can center DEI in their research, teaching, mentorship and service; where to go for help with faculty or student-related equity and inclusion issues; and how to document their contributions to inclusive excellence at UCI.

Service—at the department, School and campus/systemwide level—is an important part of career progression in the UC. This workshop will address the pitfalls and possibilities of academic service in an R1 institution, while helping faculty to approach service as a vehicle for articulating their values and pursuing their own personal and professional development.
