Her Chancellors Lecture (when she came to UCI from Georgetown) in 2011 was entitled “Seeking Consensus in a Polarized World: The Role of Dispute Resolution and Deliberative Democracy.” Things have only gotten worse since then. She's recently written about some ideas for closing the “polarization gap” and will share some of her thoughts and hopefully have a discussion with those who attend.
