Cuba Ahora: An Interactive Dialogue about the Island's Present Realities
The UC Cuba Academic Initiative invites UCI Social Sciences graduate students to join us online on April 16 at 4 p.m. for an informal, participant-driven discussion about all things Cuba.
During this hour-long conversation, UC Cuba founder and executive secretary, Raul Fernandez (Chicano Latino Studies); UC Cuba co-director Anita Casavantes Bradford (Chicano Latino Studies and History); Glenda Flores (Chicano Latino Studies and Sociology); and Belinda Campos (Chicano/Latino Studies, School of Medicine PRIME-LC, and Department of Psychological Science) will share insights on island realities today, and answer your questions on topics including, but not limited to: research and travel in Cuba; U.S.-Cuba relations; Cuban history and politics; Cuba's health system; Cuba and COVID-19; Cuban culture, music, food and dance.
