The Intra-American Slave trade and Traffic to the Spanish Americas
This presentation examines the traffic in enslaved Africans to the Americas, with an emphasis to the Spanish colonies. This traffic also brought captive Africans from British, Dutch, and Portuguese colonies in the Americas to Spanish colonies, among other places. In addition, this presentation will introduce the new design and intra-American dataset for the Slave Voyages website, at www.slavevoyages.org.
