This year the Department of Chicano/Latino Studies has selected the annual theme "Latina/o/e/x?" as the inquiry that will guide all classes. Together with Student Success Initiatives, the Cross Cultural Center and the new Latinx Resource Center, the department is hosting, "Diasporic Identities: A Discussion of Latina/o/e/x?" led by Héctor Tobar, UCI associate professor Chicano/Latino studies and history, followed by a panel discussion.
