Blix, chairperson of the Commission on Weapons of Mass Destruction and the former
United Nations chief weapons inspector, will share the lessons learned while inspecting
for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq prior to military action by the U.S. and its
allies. The veteran diplomat from Sweden is often noted for his calm, pragmatic approach
to diplomacy. Blix is the author of Disarming Iraq. This lecture is part of the 2004-05
UCI Chancellor’s Distinguished Fellows Series.
