Ana E. Rosas
Associate Professor, Chicano/Latino Studies, UC Irvine
Ana Elizabeth Rosas is an associate professor of history and Chicano/Latino Studies at the University of California, Irvine. She holds a
doctorate in history from the University of Southern California. Most recently, she published Abrazando El Espiritu: Bracero Families Confront the US-Mexico
Border, which was awarded the Immigration and Ethnic History Society’s Theodore Soloutos Memorial Book Award. Her mentoring students into professions that advance the
rights of immigrants has paved the way to her being awarded UC Irvine’s Engaged Faculty Award, School of Social Sciences Most Outstanding Mentor Award, Excellence in Teaching
Award, and Dynamic Womyn Award.
