About the speakers:
Donald Hoffman, Ph.D., is a professor of cognitive sciences at the University of California, Irvine, with a joint appointment in the Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science. He received the Troland Award of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, a Distinguished Scientific Award of the American Psychological Association, and the Rustum Roy Award of the Chopra Foundation. His writing has appeared in Scientific American and Edge, and his work has been featured in the Atlantic, Wired, and Quanta. His previous book Visual Intelligence: How We Create What We See, also published by WW Norton, explores the creative genius of the mind's eye. His 2015 TED talk "Do We See Reality as it Is?" lays out the premise of his new book The Case Against Reality in 19 minutes and has been viewed over 2.6 million times.
Deepak Chopra, M.D., FACP, founder of the Chopra Foundation and cofounder of Chopra Global and Jiyo.com, is a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation. He is the author of over 86 books translated into over 43 languages, including numerous New York Times bestsellers. His national bestseller, Metahuman: Unleashing Your Infinite Potential, unravels the mysteries behind everyday reality (October 1, 2019, Harmony Books). Time magazine has described Dr. Chopra as "one of the top 100 heroes and icons of the century."
Dr. Chopra is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, and metabolism, a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He serves as a clinical professor at the University of California, San Diego, and hosts the #1 health and wellbeing podcasts "Deepak Chopra's Infinite Potential" and "Daily Breath."
