From the OC Register:
Two acclaimed campus professors each received one of the highest honors in their
fields. Ruben G. Rumbaut, professor of sociology, was elected to the National Academy
of Education in February, and Wilson Ho, the Donald Bren Professor of Physics & Astronomy
and Chemistry, was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in May.
