Ethnographic Revelations: Becoming a Feminist Ethnographer Studying Sexuality with Mexican Populations
In this presentation, Gonzalez-Lopez will share the intellectual evolution she has experienced as a feminist sociologist who has conducted qualitative research on sexuality and gender with populations of Mexican origin. She will reflect about some of the transforming lessons she has learned as a researcher, an intellectual, and a public sociologist who is engaged in socially responsible research. In particular, she will share the research journeys she embarked on while working on her most recent research on incest and sexual violence in Mexican families.
