Guests will enjoy live cultural entertainment, eye-catching artistic demonstrations, elaborate costumes, origami workshops, and delicious food tastings and drink.

4:00 p.m. Lion & Dragon Dance/Parade | School of Law

Beginning at the School of Law, the lion parade will pass in front of The Paul Merage School of Business and end at the Street Festival in SBSG Plaza where it will be met by the dragon parade for the ceremonial painting of the eyes and dance, followed by the feeding of the lions.

5:00 p.m. Formal Ceremonial Program | SBSG Plaza

A welcome from UCI campus administration and featured musical performance by the world renowned guzheng player, Wu Fei.

6:30 p.m. Closing Light & Sound Fireworks| SBSG Plaza

Parking is available for $10.00 per day, or $2.00 per hour in the Social Science Parking Structure on the corner of Campus Drive and Stanford.

Embracing this spirit, the Long US-China Institute invites you to an exciting lineup of events, featuring talks and discussions on contemporary China and its dynamic with the U.S., with focus on defining political, social, and cultural influences.
